Install instructions

Instructions for Installing a Script in Aseprite:

1. Download the Script: Grab the .lua file.

2. Open Aseprite: Start Aseprite and open a new or existing project.

3. Access the Scripts Folder: Go to File > Scripts > Open Scripts Folder.

4. Place the Script: Drop the .lua script file into the folder that opens.

5. Refresh Scripts: In Aseprite, go to File > Scripts > Rescan Scripts to refresh the list.

6. Run the Script: You can now find the script under File > Scripts, and simply click it to apply the VHS effects!

Recommendations:

  • Color Mode: For best results, ensure your sprite is set to RGB color mode (Sprite > Color Mode > RGB).
  • Canvas Size: This script works best on canvas sizes 1024 pixels or smaller.
